Who Are We?
Life-Is-Art™ is an organization dedicated to the study and research of best practices in the field of equine-facilitated learning (EFL), to advance theoretically sound practice models and promote an ethical relationship to horses. EFL, as defined by The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl), provides content “developed and organized by credentialed practitioners with the primary intent to facilitate personal growth and development of life skills through equine interactions” (2012, www.pathintl.org). Our mission is threefold:
(1) to promote the welfare of the domesticated horse through education and research
(2) to promote experiential, complex, ecology-based education/counseling platforms
(3) to foster greater understanding and ethical relationships between humans and non-human others
Founded as a collaborative project, we integrate various professionals of like-mind, who are committed to scholarship and to healing the relationship between man and the natural world. To learn more about EFL, read article in The Yellow Sheet
